That’s why much of coastal and northern Queensland sits within Wind Region C, one of the higher classifications under AS/NZS 1170.2:2021, while further south and inland you’re more likely to fall under Region A or B. Wherever your property sits, that’s the standard we design and certify to, not a one-size-fits-all rating.
Every shed is designed, engineered and built in-house at our Yandina, Sunshine Coast workshop, using DURAGAL® galvanised steel and genuine COLORBOND® sheeting, then freighted straight to your property, wherever in Queensland that is.

Do you deliver to regional and remote parts of Queensland?
Yes. Every shed is manufactured in-house at our Yandina workshop and delivered straight to your property, not a depot, wherever in Queensland that is. Manufacturing lead time is typically 1 to 2 weeks, with delivery timeframes on top of that depending on your location.
What Wind Region rating do I need for my Queensland property?
Queensland spans Wind Region A, B or C depending on where you are, with coastal and northern areas generally in the higher classifications. We confirm the applicable wind region for your exact address before finalising a design, rather than applying a blanket rating.
Do you install the shed, or is it a DIY job?
QLD Shade Sheds doesn’t offer installation. Every shed is designed for DIY assembly using our patented Easy Sleeve connection system, so all you generally need is a drill and a ladder. If you’d rather not do it yourself, we’re happy to point you toward local installers who can help.
Do I need council approval to put up a shade shed or container shed in Queensland?
It varies. Relocatable structures often don’t require council approval, but this depends on your local council, your property and the size of the structure, so it’s worth checking with them directly. We supply full engineering certification and compliance documentation with every order, so you’ve got what you need for whatever approval process applies.
Are your shade sheds and container sheds cyclone rated for North Queensland?
Structures destined for Wind Region C, which covers much of the Queensland coast, are engineered and certified to that classification under AS/NZS 1170.2:2021. We’ll confirm the exact rating your site needs before finalising your design.
How long does delivery take for Queensland properties?
Manufacturing takes around 1 to 2 weeks. Delivery timeframes on top of that depend on your location, with regional and remote Queensland properties generally taking a little longer to coordinate than South East Queensland. Share your address, and we’ll confirm an exact timeframe.
